Како што објаснила за британските медиуми, еден ден во неделата Кејти одвојува за готвење, а потоа однапред подготвува 60 порции од седум различни јадења кои можат да се замрзнат, а подоцна и повторно да се загреат. Нејзиниот избор беа зачинети јадења како свинско кари, мексиканска лазања, чорба со пилешко и говедско месо, енчилади со пилешко, чили кон карне... и секоја порција содржеше помеѓу 260 и 575 калории.

Совет на оваа мајка до другите жени кои ја трпат истата мака е да подготват две или три вечери однапред и да ги замрзнат. На тој начин нема да мораат да се грижат за подготовка на здрава и нутритивно избалансирана храна во најлошиот момент, односно кога се занимаваат со бебето и го подготвуваат за спиење.

„Храната треба целосно да се одмрзне пред да се подгрее“, вели Кејти и советува да се подготвуваат само оние намирници што можат да се замрзнат и повторно да се загреат, како тестенини, чорби и кари.

Купувањето состојки на големо обично е поевтино, а кога се готват непрекинато неколку часа се заштедува и енергијата бидејќи нема често палење на шпоретот и греење секој пат.
